Junior / Mid-Level Python Developer

Our client is an international fintech company building a modern payment platform that enables businesses to accept payments and send payouts across 100+ countries. Serving industries such as eCommerce, they develop secure, scalable, and API-driven payment solutions and are looking for developers to help shape the future of global payments.

We are looking for a Junior or Mid-Level Python Developer with commercial experience who enjoys building web applications, backend services, and APIs. This role is ideal for someone with strong Python fundamentals who wants to work in a modern engineering environment where AI-assisted development tools are part of the daily workflow.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop web applications using modern Python frameworks.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases and SQL queries.
• Work with Docker-based development and deployment environments.
• Collaborate on server-rendered web applications and frontend integrations.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
• Work in Linux environments and assist with infrastructure-related tasks when needed.
• Leverage AI-powered coding tools to improve development efficiency and code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.

What We’re Looking For

• Commercial experience as a Python Developer (Junior with hands-on commercial experience or Mid-Level).
• Strong knowledge of Python and experience with one or more Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or other SQL databases.
• Experience using Docker.
• Good understanding of Linux, basic networking concepts, and REST APIs.
• Experience with web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side rendering.
• Comfortable using modern AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with HTMX, Cloudflare, or modern deployment and web performance best practices is considered a plus.
• A proactive mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a distributed team.
• Passion for modern software engineering practices, continuous learning, and good written and spoken English.
