Senior Accountant (Cyprus Jurisdiction)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of full-cycle accounting activities for Cyprus-based entities. This role is ideal for a professional with strong knowledge of Cyprus accounting and tax regulations, hands-on experience with annual financial statements and audits, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic business environment.

What You’ll Do

• Manage full-cycle accounting in accordance with Cyprus legislation and accounting standards
• Prepare and maintain accounting records, supporting documentation, incoming and outgoing invoices, and payment processing
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, VIES reports, and other tax filings required under Cyprus legislation
• Maintain tax accounting records, perform tax calculations, and ensure timely payment of tax liabilities
• Prepare annual financial statements and ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements
• Coordinate audit preparation, provide ongoing support during external audits, and act as the main point of contact for auditors
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Advise management on accounting, tax, and financial reporting matters
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance with Cyprus accounting and tax requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Practicing Certificate issued by ICPAC (mandatory)
• Higher education in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• At least 5 years of accounting experience within the Cyprus jurisdiction
• Strong knowledge of Cyprus accounting, tax, VAT, and reporting requirements
• Proven experience preparing annual financial statements and supporting audits
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of deliverables
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong sense of responsibility
• Advanced MS Excel skills and good proficiency in MS Office
